The Exhausted Land We Live In

We often think of the ocean as a place apart, but it is not so. The ocean is as threatened by exhaustion as the land around us. As population increases, so too do demands for energy, food, fresh water, and the pollutants which we use to meet those requirements. In this episode of World Ocean Radio, host Peter Neill will argue that the ocean begins at the mountain top, that everything that occurs on land descends to the sea, that every behavior on land impacts the downstream. He will begin a discussion about our understanding of the crises affecting the world ocean, and how we must adapt to the demanding challenges we face.
